AskFor LLC (“AskMed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) values and respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you. It also outlines the rights and choices available to you concerning the way we use your information.
This Policy applies to information we collect when you interact with us, including, but not limited to, information you provide when accessing our websites . It also applies to any other way in which you may interact with us, regardless of the platform or device you use (collectively, the “Platform” or “Askmed Platform”).
Your use of the Platform is governed by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service and, where applicable, the Expert Agreement, which is available when you apply to become an Expert. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please refrain from using our Platform. Any capitalized terms that are not defined in this Policy shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Terms of Service.

Information We Collect and Use
For the purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” means any information that directly or indirectly identifies, relates to, or describes an individual or household.
As part of operating our Platform and providing our products and services, we collect and process the following categories of Personal Information. We use this information for standard business and commercial purposes, including compliance with legal requirements, auditing, security, and fraud prevention, as well as for the purposes described in greater detail below.
Information You Provide to Us
When you register for and use our Platform as either a Customer or an Expert, including when you interact with our online chatbot, we may collect and retain Personal Information that you provide to us, including the following:
Contact Information and Other Personal Identifiers
We receive the contact details and other personal identifiers that you provide, including, for example, your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, signature, and similar identifying information.
Expert Credentials and Identity Information
If you apply to become an Expert, we also require certain information to verify your identity and assess your eligibility to serve as an Expert on the Platform. This information may include your date of birth, social security number, government-issued photo identification such as a driver’s license, state identification card, or passport, resume, and information concerning your licenses and certifications.
Additional Profile Information
The Platform may allow you to provide additional information, including your job title, the number of years you have worked within a profession, and your educational background.
Communications, Submissions, and Other User-Generated Content
We collect the information and content you submit when you ask questions, respond to questions as an Expert, post information on the Platform—including questions, answers, public testimonials, and forum posts—or otherwise communicate with AskMed .
We also collect information submitted through contact forms, registration forms, profile forms, email communications, and other submissions, including reviews and surveys. This also includes information you provide when communicating with our customer service representatives.
AskMed Referral Information
If you participate in our referral program by recommending potential Experts, telling a friend about AskMed, or sending a friend a copy of a question-and-answer sequence, you may be required to provide information about yourself and the person you are referring, such as contact information.
Financial Information
We receive financial information, including payment card or PayPal™ information and other related details, in order to process payments for your purchases and issue payments to Experts and referral participants. We rely on third-party payment processors to process payment information.
Commercial Information
We collect and generate commercial and transaction-related information, including records of the products and services you purchase from us.
Audio and Visual Information
We receive photographs that you choose to share with us through our Platform.
Information Provided by Third Parties About You
From time to time, we may supplement the information we collect about you with information obtained from third parties, including the following:
Social Media Networks
When you “like” or “follow” us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or other social media platforms, we may collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, and any comments or content you post that is relevant to us.
We may also collect information about you when you interact with social media functions available through our Platform, such as like and share buttons.
Marketing Partners and Data Providers
We may obtain information about you from marketing partners and data providers. This may include, but is not limited to, personal identifiers, commercial information, usage data, and information that is generally available and helps us offer you products and services that we believe may be of interest to you.
Other Users
Other users may provide us with information about you, including personal identifiers such as your email address. For example, another user may give us information about you in order to invite you to use the AskMed Platform or to share content from the AskMed Platform with you.
Other Information We Collect
We may also collect other information relating to you, your device, or your use of the Platform in ways that we explain to you when the information is collected or otherwise with your consent.
You may choose not to provide certain types of information to us; however, choosing not to provide such information may affect your ability to use certain features of the AskMed Platform.
Information Automatically Collected Through Your Use of the AskMed Platform
We automatically collect information concerning your use of the AskMed Platform, including when you open one of our emails or view and interact with our advertisements and content. Collectively, this information is referred to as “Usage Information.”
Usage Information includes the following:
Device Information and Related Identifiers
We and our service providers collect your IP address and information specific to your device, such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information, including your phone number.
Browsing Information
When you use the Platform, we and our service providers collect and analyze information about your usage activity. This may include the URL that directed you to the Platform, the areas of the Platform that you visit, the amount of time you spend on the Platform, the time of day when you visit, information relating to content you upload or post, error logs, language preferences, and other similar information.
Location Information
When you use the Platform, we and our service providers collect general location information from your computer or mobile device.
“General” location information refers to information about the city and state in which your device is located, based on its IP address. We may also obtain general location information when you enter your zip code, use location-related features, or through Wi-Fi access points.
Many mobile devices allow applications to access precise, real-time geolocation information. If we collect and use this type of information, we will request your permission.
Inferences Based on the Information Described Above
We may use the information described above to make inferences regarding your preferences. This helps us provide personalized content and offers and assists us in developing and delivering improved products and services.
Automatic Collection Through Cookies and Other Technologies
To collect information through automated methods as described above, we and our partners use web server logs, cookies, tags, tracking pixels, and other comparable tracking technologies, collectively referred to as “Cookies.”
Cookies
A cookie is a small file containing a sequence of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website.
When you return to the website, the cookie enables us to:
(i) recognize your computer;
(ii) store your preferences and settings;
(iii) understand which web pages of the Platform you have visited;
(iv) improve your user experience by delivering content and advertising tailored to your interests and measuring their effectiveness;
(v) conduct searches and analytics; and
(vi) support security and administrative functions.
You can configure your browser to reject all cookies or to notify you whenever a cookie is being sent. However, certain website features or services may not operate correctly without cookies.
Mobile Identifiers
We may use software development kits (“SDKs”) that use mobile advertising identifiers, such as IDFA on Apple mobile devices or Advertising ID on Android mobile devices. These identifiers function in a manner similar to cookies on mobile devices.
You can reset your IDFA or Advertising ID through the settings of your mobile device.
Web Beacons
Our web pages and email messages may contain small graphic images or other web programming code known as web beacons, also referred to as “1×1 GIFs,” “one pixel GIFs,” or “clear GIFs.”
Web beacons may not be visible to you. However, any electronic image or other web programming code incorporated into a web page or email may function as a web beacon.
Web beacons and similar technologies may be used for various purposes, including, without limitation, counting visitors to the AskMed Platform, monitoring how users navigate the AskMed Platform, making cookies more effective, and analyzing how our emails, articles, and links are opened, viewed, and used.
Most browsers provide information about how to stop accepting new cookies, receive notifications when new cookies are received, and disable cookies that already exist.

Please understand that refusing cookies does not mean you will stop seeing advertisements when visiting the AskMed Platform. In addition, without cookies, you may be unable to fully use all features of the AskMed Platform, and certain portions of the AskMed Platform may not function correctly.
Anonymous or Aggregated Information
We may de-identify or aggregate the data we receive and may use and disclose such information for any business purpose.
How We Use Personal Information
We and our service providers use the information described above for the following business and operational purposes:
Manage your Account, including processing your registration and, in the case of Experts, handling your application to participate in the Platform;
Provide, administer, and enhance the Platform;
Respond to and fulfill your requests, including sending notifications and providing answers related to questions you submit;
Process payments;
Respond to your requests for information and provide customer service that is more effective and efficient, including through our interactive chat features;
Carry out internal business activities that support our Platform, including auditing, security, crash resolution, fraud prevention, invoicing and accounting, sales and marketing, analytics, and research and development;
Contact you concerning our Platform, promotions, special events, and other matters that we believe may be relevant or of interest to you;
Personalize the content, preferences, and advertising available on or related to the Platform;
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other legal processes and procedures;
Establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights; and
Take measures that we reasonably consider necessary to protect the safety, security, and rights of AskMed , its employees, service providers, and other individuals.
Please be aware that we may combine information collected through the Platform with information that we automatically collect or obtain from other sources, and we may use the resulting combined information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may also aggregate, de-identify, and/or anonymize information collected through the Platform so that the information cannot reasonably be associated with you or your device. We may use this aggregated, de-identified, or anonymous information for any purpose, including, without limitation, research and marketing purposes.
How We Disclose Personal Information
Service Providers. We share the Personal Information described above with service providers, including, but not limited to, payment processors, fraud detection providers, service-related technology providers, and survey administrators, that provide services to you and to us. These providers may assist us with maintaining our databases and websites, managing emails, displaying content, and analyzing website usage activity. For example, we may provide your personal identifiers and commercial information to communications and marketing vendors so that they can send marketing communications and other communications on our behalf.
Our Partners from Whom You Have Requested Information. We may share your personal identifiers and commercial information with other companies from which you have requested a particular product or service, so that those companies can market their products or services to you. If you do not wish for your Personal Information to be shared with these companies, you may contact us using the information provided in the “How to Contact Us” section below.
Advertising Partners. We may share your personal identifiers, commercial information, and usage information with advertising partners that use various technologies to provide or serve relevant advertisements to you while you browse the internet. We may share your Personal Information or non-personally identifying information with advertising networks for purposes of online behavioral advertising.
Within Our Organization. We may share any of your Personal Information with our parents, subsidiaries, joint venture partners, and other entities under common control, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Social Networks. Certain features of the AskMed Platform may allow you to interact with social networks in ways that result in certain categories of Personal Information being published to those social networks. To determine exactly which categories of Personal Information may be shared in this manner, please consult the privacy policies of the applicable social networks and/or log out of the relevant service before using our Platform.
Public Disclosures Using the Platform. Information included in the questions, answers, and other communications you provide through our websites and Platform, including testimonials and community forum posts, as well as information contained in Expert profiles describing experiences and qualifications and signatures attached to postings on our websites (collectively, “Posts”), may be accessible to other users and/or may not be private or confidential. Other individuals may collect, copy, or use Posts without your knowledge or ours, and the security and other protective provisions of this Policy will not apply to such Posts. You should therefore exercise caution and good judgment when disclosing Personal Information through any public service, including Posts on the AskMed Platform.
Third-Party Partners for Co-Branded or Jointly Offered Products, Services, and Contests. From time to time, we may partner with another brand, retailer, or other third party to provide services, products, events, and promotions on a co-branded or cross-promotional basis. Information you provide in connection with these services may be collected directly by or shared with that third party.
AskMed may also conduct sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions (“Promotion(s)”) that may require registration. If you decide to participate in a Promotion, your Personal Information may be disclosed to the promotion’s sponsor or co-sponsor, third parties, or the public in connection with administering the Promotion, when required by law, or when permitted by the Promotion’s official rules, including, for example, through a winners list. These third parties will handle your information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, or sale of company assets—whether through a private sale, operation of law, as part of a divestiture plan, or otherwise—your Personal Information and any other information we have collected may be disclosed to the individuals and/or entities taking control of the relevant business unit or otherwise as necessary to evaluate or complete the transaction.
Protection of AskMed and Others & Legal Compliance. We may access, retain, and disclose information we collect and maintain about you when required by law or when we have a good-faith belief that such access, retention, or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (i) comply with applicable law or legal process, such as a subpoena or court order; (ii) enforce our Terms of Service, Expert Agreement, this Privacy Policy, or other agreements or contracts with you, including investigating potential violations of those agreements; (iii) respond to your customer service requests; and/or (iv) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of AskMed, its agents and affiliates, its users, and/or the public. This also includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection, spam or malware prevention, and similar purposes.
Otherwise with Your Consent or at Your Direction. In addition to the disclosures described in this Privacy Policy, we may share information about you with third parties whenever you provide your consent to such sharing or direct us to share the information.
Online Analytics and Advertising
Analytics
We may use third-party web analytics services, such as Google Analytics, on our Platform to collect and analyze Usage Information through cookies and similar technologies, conduct audits, research, or reporting, help prevent fraud, and provide you with certain features.
If you do not want Google Analytics to use your information for analytics purposes, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on by clicking here.
If you receive emails from us, we may use certain analytics technologies, including tracking pixels, to collect information such as whether you opened our message or clicked on links or banners contained in our emails. This information helps us evaluate the effectiveness of our communications and marketing campaigns.
Online Advertising
The Platform may permit third-party advertising technologies to place cookies or other tracking technologies on your computer, mobile phone, or other device. These technologies may collect information about you to help deliver relevant advertisements concerning the Platform on other websites you visit and through other services you use.
We do not have access to the cookies or other tracking technologies that unaffiliated third parties may place on the device you use to access the Platform, and those technologies are not governed by this Privacy Policy.

Notice Concerning Do Not Track
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that can be enabled by users through certain web browsers.
We are committed to offering meaningful choices concerning information collected on our website for third-party purposes, which is why we describe various opt-out mechanisms above. However, we do not currently recognize or respond to DNT signals initiated by web browsers.

Your Rights & Choices
We provide you with choices concerning the collection, use, and sharing of your Personal Information on the AskMed Platform.
Privacy Rights
Depending on your place of residence, you may have certain rights concerning your Personal Information.
Under certain local laws, including California law, you have the right not to be discriminated against, as provided by applicable law, for exercising your rights.
For example, under applicable local laws, including laws in the European Union, you may be able to request that we:
Provide access to certain information we maintain about you;
Update or correct your information;
Delete certain information; and
Restrict the use of your information.
If you want to verify, correct, update, or delete Personal Information that you provided to us in connection with your Account on the AskMed Platform, you may do so through the Edit Profile page after logging into your Account.
California residents may also contact us using the information provided below.
Please understand that we may be required, whether under applicable law or for other reasons, to retain certain information rather than delete it. In such circumstances, we will comply with your deletion request only after satisfying those requirements.
Many of the rights described above are subject to exceptions and limitations. Certain portions of the Platform can only be accessed when we have your information. Therefore, deleting your information may result in the termination of those services.
We will take reasonable measures to verify your identity.
It may not always be possible to completely remove or delete all of your information from our databases. Some residual information may remain in our archives because of backups and other reasons.

Email Communications
When you receive promotional communications from us, you may choose to stop receiving additional promotional communications. You can “opt out” by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the promotional email you receive or by contacting us directly at privacyrequest@askmed.help
Regardless of the email preferences you select, we may continue to send you administrative emails relating to the AskMed Platform. These may include, for example, notifications concerning updates to our online terms or this Privacy Policy, registration communications, communications related to Expert applications when appropriate, and communications and updates concerning questions you ask or answer, Posts you make, and other information associated with your Account.
Personalized Advertising
You may also opt out of certain network advertising programs that use your information. The following are additional steps you may take to opt out:
Visit the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Opt-Out Page (http://www.aboutads.info/choices). The DAA Opt-Out Page provides a tool that identifies its member companies that have Cookies on your browser and provides links to those companies.
Change the privacy settings in your browser’s Help section or through the Settings tab on your mobile device.
You may also select the Ad Choices icon that appears in certain advertisements.
You may opt out of additional third-party advertising networks by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative’s Website (http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp) and following the instructions provided.
In addition, many network advertising programs allow you to view and manage the interest categories they have created based on your online browsing activity. These interest categories help determine the types of personalized advertisements that may be shown to you.
Please note that these opt-outs apply separately to each device. As a result, you will need to opt out on every device through which you access our Platform.
Even if you choose to remove your information or “opt out,” you may continue to see advertisements while browsing online. However, those advertisements will no longer be tailored to your interests.
Information concerning your usage may also continue to be collected for research, analytics, or internal operational purposes.
California Privacy Rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), and subject to the exceptions provided under the CCPA, California residents may request:
deletion of the Personal Information we maintain about them;
additional information regarding whether and how we have collected, used, and disclosed Personal Information concerning them; and
specific pieces of Personal Information that we maintain about them.
California residents also have the right to be free from discriminatory treatment for exercising any of the rights described above.
As stated above, before responding to a request, we may require you to provide certain information and follow specific procedures so that we can verify both the request and your jurisdiction. This may include comparing the information included in your request with information already maintained in our records in order to verify your identity.
California law allows California residents to appoint an authorized agent to submit privacy rights requests on their behalf. We require such an authorized agent to provide evidence of the California resident’s written authorization, such as a power of attorney, permitting the agent to act on the resident’s behalf. We will also require the authorized agent to verify his or her own identity.

Other California Requirements
If you are a California resident under 18 years of age and a registered user of a website where this Policy is posted, you may request the removal of content or information that you have publicly posted to the AskMed Platform by contacting us at privacyrequest@askmed.help.
In addition, under certain circumstances, California law gives you the right to request information from us concerning how we share certain categories of Personal Information, as defined under the Shine the Light law, with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not share your Personal Information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
The CCPA requires us to provide additional information about how we collect, use, and share your “personal information,” as that term is defined by the CCPA.
Throughout this Privacy Policy, we describe in detail the specific types of personal information we collect from and about our users. The CCPA also requires us to identify the “categories” of personal information we collect, as defined under California law.
Depending on how you use the Platform, the categories of information we collect may include: Identifiers, such as your name, address, and email address; commercial information, such as transaction data; financial information, such as credit card information; education information; employment information; internet or other network or device activity, such as browsing history; demographic information; location information; user-generated content; inference data about you; and other information that identifies or can reasonably be associated with you.
We use the categories of information described above as explained in How We Use Personal Information. We may share any of these categories of information as described in How We Disclose Personal Information.
The CCPA establishes certain obligations for businesses that “sell” personal information to third parties. Under the CCPA, the term “sale” is broadly defined and may potentially include allowing third parties to receive certain information, such as cookies, IP addresses, and/or browsing behavior, in order to enable us to market our Services to you on other websites or applications.
Depending on which Services you use, we may share, and during the preceding 12 months may have shared, the following categories of information for such advertising purposes:
Identification and demographic information;
Device information and identifiers, including IP addresses, unique advertising identifiers, and cookies;
Connection and usage information, such as browsing history or application usage;
Geolocation information, such as city; and
Inference data.
During the previous 12 months, we have not provided, and we do not currently provide, personal information to third parties in exchange for monetary payment.
If you or your authorized agent wish to opt out of our sharing of your information for these purposes, to the extent that such sharing is considered a “sale,” you may do so as described on the following page: Do Not Sell My Personal Information.
Nevada Privacy Rights
We do not sell consumers’ covered information in exchange for monetary consideration, as defined in Chapter 603A of the Nevada Revised Statutes.
However, if you are a Nevada resident, you have the right to submit a request instructing us not to sell your Personal Information.

European Union Economic Area, United Kingdom & Brazilian Residents
Legal Bases for Use of Your Information
Certain countries require companies to process “Personal Data,” as defined under applicable laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation, only when they have a “legal basis” (or another justifiable need) for doing so.
To the extent that these laws apply, our legal bases for processing Personal Data include the following:
Where your Personal Data is necessary to fulfill our obligations under a contract (or a contract that is pending) with you. For example, we will process your Personal Data to comply with our agreements with you and fulfill our obligations under any contracts we have entered into with you.
Where your Personal Data is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of others. For example, we may process your Personal Data to operate our business and Platform; identify and resolve issues affecting our Platform; maintain the security of our Platform; better understand how our customers use the Platform; conduct internal analytics concerning the Platform; improve the Platform and users’ experiences with it; provide information about new products, special offers, or other information that we believe may be of interest to you using the email address you have provided; make and receive payments; comply with legal requirements and protect or defend our legal rights; prevent fraud; and identify the customer to whom we are providing our Platform.
Where processing your Personal Data is necessary for us to fulfill our legal obligations.
Where we have obtained your consent. For example, if the laws of a particular country require us to obtain your consent before processing certain data, we will request and obtain your consent in accordance with the requirements of those laws.
Information Processing and Transfer
AskMed is a company based in the United States, and the AskMed Platform is provided from the United States.
If you are a user residing outside the United States, please be aware that the information we collect will be transferred to and processed in the United States. It may also be processed and stored in other countries outside the United States where data protection laws may differ from those applicable in your country.
By using the AskMed Platform or providing us with any information, you consent to the collection, processing, maintenance, and transfer of that information to and within the United States and other applicable countries where privacy laws may not provide protections that are as comprehensive as, or equivalent to, those in the country where you reside and/or are a citizen.
How We Protect and Retain Your Information
We maintain procedural, technical, and physical safeguards designed to help protect the Personal Information you provide through the AskMed Platform against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Unfortunately, no method of transmitting data can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Third parties outside our control may potentially intercept or unlawfully access transmissions or private communications.
Accordingly, any transmission of Personal Information to us is made at your own risk.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is processed. The period during which we retain information depends on the purposes for which we collected and use it and on your choices. After that period, we may delete and/or aggregate the information.
We may also retain and use this information when necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Third Party Links
From time to time, the AskMed Platform may include links to third-party websites or services for your convenience and/or information, such as websites linked through banner advertisements.
If you use these links to access other websites, you may leave the AskMed Platform.
When you visit these other websites, please understand that their operators may collect information from you and use it according to their own privacy policies and terms of use, which may differ from ours.
We do not endorse or control the policies or practices of third-party websites that we do not operate or control.
You should always carefully review the privacy policy of any website you access so that you can understand its specific privacy and information-use practices.
Children’s Personal Information
We do not knowingly collect or retain Personal Information from children under 13 years of age.
If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child under the age of 13 has provided us with information without the parent’s or guardian’s consent, they should contact us at privacyrequest@askmed.help.
As required by law, we will delete such information from our files within a reasonable period of time.
We may also remove Personal Information from our websites, as well as Posts and other information, belonging to users whom we believe are under 18 years of age.
Updates to This Privacy Policy
From time to time, we may modify this Policy to reflect changes in applicable law or technology, or changes in our practices concerning the collection and use of information.
If we make material changes to this Policy, we will provide notice of those changes. Such notice may be provided through an announcement on the AskMed Platform or in any other manner required by law.
You agree that we may notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the AskMed Platform.
Any changes to this Policy will take effect as of the Effective Date displayed at the top of this page.
If you continue using the AskMed Platform after the most recent Effective Date, you will be considered to have understood and agreed to those changes.
If you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, including any amendments made to it from time to time, whether in whole or in part, please do not continue using the AskMed Platform.

This Policy may periodically be supplemented by additional terms, privacy statements, or notices explaining how we collect, use, and share information in particular circumstances (“Additional Terms”).
